This tutorial will explain step-by-step, how to build your own wooden pet house.

To start off, you will need to gather the proper materials.

Materials needed:
Wood (A total of 123″ x 18″)
Non toxic adhesive (We will use a hot glue gun for this example)
Non toxic paint
A saw
A drill with a hole saw bit

Step 1: Preparation
Cut the wood out into the sizes of the picture below.
Note: You can create any size house you want for your pets so do not limit yourself to the sizes in this tutorial.

Step 2: Assembly
Using the hot glue gun, attach the home together.

1. Attach the top of the house to the back of the house.
2. Attach the left of the house.
3. Attach the right of the house.
4. Carefully slide the middle of the house in about 9″ down from the top of the house.
5. Attach the front of the house.
6. Attach the balcony support (the 9″ by 6″ piece) with the 6″ flat on the bottom. Attach the support at about the midpoint of the house.
7. Attach the balcony to the house (the 6″ by 18″ piece) with the 18″ against the side of house.

Step 3: Paint your house
Using the non toxic paint that you have purchased, paint your new rat home any color that you like. And enjoy watching your pets play in their new house!
